The Department of Dermatology of the Joan and Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University played host to a unique interdisciplinary scientific symposium on “Stress and the Skin” from June 2nd to June 4th 2006. The event brought together twenty-seven experts from the academic, medical and dermatologic communities from around the globe to expound on key aspects of stress and how it relates to the skin. In addition to these plenary speakers, approximately 100 other investigators and clinicians attended the symposium. Many of these participants gave poster presentations of their latest scientific findings. This symposium was supported by an unrestricted educational grant from Clinique Laboratories LLC as part of Clinique’s larger partnership with the Department of Dermatology at Weill Cornell.
